Story

Lisa Hall Founder Root Motive

As a little girl, Lisa remembers standing on her front porch in Birmingham, Alabama speaking to a make-believe audience. It wasn’t until later that she would realize her calling, beginning a corporate training career. Lisa’s dynamic career path has allowed a unique approach to her training and development focus, allowing inspiring coaching and presentation experiences.

Lisa is an Executive Leadership Coach certified by The International Coaching Federation, with emphasis on helping individuals and teams reach their full potential. After taking the Color Code personality assessment and realizing the impact it had on her both personally and professionally, she became a Certified Personality Coach for Color Code International. Implementing The Color Code in to business environments has proven to be a catalyst for culture change and upholding mission and values. Lisa’s focused work in Strategic Leadership and Organization from the Gies College of Business, assists in assessing and identifying key areas for business development.

Lisa founded Root Motive because she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and expertise to help individuals and teams reach their potential. Root Motive inspires growth via implementing excellence in leadership and communication principles with emphasis on empathy, mission, values and culture.

  • Real Estate

    After studying at The University of Alabama in Birmingham, Lisa began her career with Trammell Crow Residential, the pioneer of multi-family real estate and one of the largest developers in The United Sates. Working in the Birmingham and Seattle markets, Lisa learned from the best in business excellence, quality of product and sales and service.

  • Hospitality

    After relocating to the Florida Keys, Lisa became the Director of Training and Human Resources at Little Palm Island Resort and Spa. Lisa developed training content and developed human resource initiatives consistent with maintaining excellence in a luxury service setting. Little Palm Island consistently ranks as one of the top 100 resorts in the world.

  • International

    After relocating to Brasilia, Brazil, Lisa served along with her husband in a diplomatic capacity within the US Embassy. Lisa was elected President of The International Women’s Club, and developed and taught a leadership course for the management team at a boys home in Aguas Lindas De Goias for The Canadian Baptist Mission.

  • Veterinary

    After returning to the sates, Lisa became the Director of Training and Development at VCA Animal Emergency Critical Care in Leesburg Virginia and the Hospital Director for NVA Veterinary Emergency and Specialty of Wichita, Kansas. It is in the industry that fueled her passion further to research and develop content for associates working in stressful and emotionally charged environments.
